Procedures

On admission, a complete case history is taken followed by a physical and biomechanical examination, Stress ECG, spirometry and other tests may be performed. All conventional X-Ray, pathology services and darkfield microscopy are available.

Following the initial consultation and health assessment, a full disclosure is made and an open discussion ensues to determine the appropriate care and the means whereby the goals may be realised. The emphasis is on individual care.

The techniques of fasting, nutrition, sunlight, activity and relaxation may be employed but, under close supervision.

Psychological factors almost invariably contribute to our health problems or prevent us from reaching our full potential. These are carefully identified and ameliorated by our gentle but radical care.

Physical activity is planned and monitored to exert a beneficial influence, avoiding the effects of overstrain and exhaustion.

The nutritional/lifestyle programmes are designed to meet the specific needs of the individual. These are supported by unique computerised software designed to organise and assess patient data. Special care is given to identifying and removing the causes of problems associated with food intolerance, allergies and so-called nutritional deficiencies.

A structural analysis may reveal overt neuromuscular-skeletal factors which contribute significantly to current health problems. The use of manipulative techniques may be required together with re-education of physical habits of use to restore normal structural integrity.

Health care is self care. Our educational programme ensures that each person learns how to care for themselves intelligently and responsibly to preserve and protect their health. On discharge an individualised outline of management is provided and where practicable follow-up consultations enable modifications to be introduced.
